owners: Butler alum Michael Kaltenmark, director of development at the university, and his wife, Tiffany
pet tale: Blue loves to attend basketball games and can give you a high five, roll over, or play dead. Michael is also trying to teach him how to skateboard like his famous YouTube counterpart.
Nigelcelebrity pet: Nigel, a 4-year-old bearded collie
owners: Governor Mitch Daniels and his wife, Cheri
pet tale: Nigel was a Christmas gift from the governor to his wife. Today, Nigel spends his days on some prime real estate: right behind the governor’s desk in his downtown office.
Indycelebrity pet: Indy, a 1-year-old golden retriever that resides in Washington, D.C.
owners: Senator Richard Lugar and his wife, Charlene
pet tale: Indy was a gift the senator and his wife gave themselves for their 50th wedding anniversary last September.
Rocky, Lola, and Bearcelebrity pets: Rocky, age 4, Lola, age 3, and Bear, 6 months, a trio of Chinese Shar-Peis
owners: Indiana Fever center Ebony Hoffman and her husband, Ronald Cass
pet tale: Ebony and Ronald bred Rocky and Lola to have a litter of six puppies, but kept only one: Bear. Rocky is the alarm clock in the house, waking Ronald up every morning and then literally pushing him down the stairs to go outside.
Bentlycelebrity pet: Bentley, a 2-year-old English bulldog
owner: Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger
pet tale: Bentley won’t tolerate being left outside, so he learned to open the door himself by jumping up and hitting the handle until it opens.
