Radio Show to Preview WARMfest Bands

Starting at 7 p.m. tonight, 90.1 WFYI will air music from groups performing in the event.
Deciding which musical acts to check out at this weekend’s WARMfest—close to 60 performances in four days at Broad Ripple Park—is a daunting prospect. But an hour-long preview show airing tonight on 90.1 WFYI Public Radio can help.
Starting at 7 p.m., the station will play music from groups in the WARMfest lineup, including Of Montreal, Sebadoh, Half-Japanese, and, from Indiana, Sleeping Bag, Busman’s Holiday, and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band.
The playlist was selected by Karl Hofstetter, owner of the Fountain Square indie label Joyful Noise Recordings, which carries several of the artists featured at the festival. Jeb Banner, co-founder of local marketing firm Smallbox, is hosting.
The program will not be available online, so you have to tune in to listen. It will air a second time on 90.1 HD-2 at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 30.
