Scott studied journalism and communications at Ball State University before serving as an editorial intern at Indianapolis Monthly in 2005. He edited For Dummies books and Frommer's Travel Guides at John Wiley & Sons, Inc., for more than five years, also freelancing for IM and other music, culture, and sports publications. Scott rejoined IM in July 2011 as Digital Media Manager and oversees the magazine's web, email, and social media presences. His work has appeared in The New York Times, and he moonlights at as a columnist. He lives downtown.
