Philip Gulley

Columnist
When Gulley isn’t writing “Back Home Again” essays for Indianapolis Monthly, he is pastoring the Fairfield Friends Meeting near Indianapolis. When not doing that, he is enjoying the gushing adulation of his beautiful wife, Joan, and the profound respect of his two teenage sons, Spencer and Sam. When alone at his home in the daytime, he writes books and wastes countless hours watching YouTube clips. To the surprise of everyone who knows him, he has won two Emmy awards and second place in the Danville Bicycle Safety Rodeo in 1972.
