1. Lake Daily

IUPUI student and Jimmy John’s delivery biker

Bike: Giant “Bowery,” $600 from Bicycle Hospital (3702 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St., 317-926-1641). The Bespoke Look: Garage-sale vest, Banana Republic shirt, J. Crew pants, Converse sneakers, Adidas watch. Wheel Talk: “Lots of people try to dress like hipsters,” says Daily, who logs about 100 miles a week between his delivery job and his school commute. “For some reason, people think ‘that looks good on a bike.’”

2. Jean Easter

Owner of Easter Conservation Services

Bike: Bobbin “Birdie,” $649, and Basil Memories “Bottle” basket, $39.99, from Bikes on Mass Ave (643 Massachusetts Ave., 317-622-7988). The Bespoke Look: Benetton jacket, Hermes scarf, Zara pants, vintage Gucci sunglasses. Wheel Talk: “I walk or bike to work every day and have been doing it for years,” Easter says. “I am never in a vehicle.”

3. Latham Hawkins and Mallory Talty

Spouses and Co-owners of Factory 4 studio

Bikes: Electra “Townie” in Caribbean Blue (hers) and Orange/Black (his), $519.99 each from Gray Goat Sports (7750 S. Meridian St., Ste. A, 317-780-4628). The Bespoke Look: On Talty, vintage shirt, ASOS shorts, and Madewell platform wedges; on Hawkins, H&M denim shirt, American Apparel henley, Zara shorts, Maison Martin Margiela sneakers.
Wheel talk: “If you’re going to a nicer event, go for platforms or wedges—they’re not really hard to bike in—instead of sneakers,” Talty says.

4. Petra Slinkard

IMA Curatorial Associate of Textiles and Fashion Arts

Bike: Felt “Claire,” $529.99 from Indy Cycle Specialist (5804 E. Washington St., 317-356-4585). The Bespoke Look: T.J. Maxx sweater, tee from Lucky B Boutique, scarf made in India, AG jeans, earrings from Bloomington street fair. Wheel Talk: “I would say rubber soles are essential on a bike, regardless of heel height,” says Slinkard. “Also, I think tying back your hair is important, because you don’t want to look like you’ve been roaring around in a convertible.”

5. Derrick Braziel

Founder of Dreamapolis Entrepreneurial Group

Bike: Amsterdam Classic 3i in Forest Metallic, $799.99 from Nebo Ridge Bicycles (4335 W. 106th St., Carmel, 317-471-1089). The Bespoke Look: Goodwill shirt, The Tie Bar tie, Old Navy jeans, Forever 21 sunglasses, Rue 21 denim jacket. Wheel Talk: “It’s hard to find clothes you can wear on a bike without getting a hole in the crotch,” says Braziel. “Sometimes I have to wear an extra pair of shorts or ride really slowly.”

6. Tyler Hromadka

Owner of 505 Photo Studio

Bike: Custom-built IMS NMC BoardRacer Collection “Marmon Wasp,” $1,850 from National Moto + Cycle Co.(5206 N. College Ave., 317-698-2418). The Bespoke Look: Banana Republic leather jacket, J. Crew shirt, Gap jeans, Fossil shoes. Wheel Talk: “I liked riding my bike so much, I haven’t been in a rush to get another car,” says Hromadka, who pedals the mile-and-a-half each way to work. The Monon has been a huge help for that.”
