You went to the grocery store and, as always, forgot that one thing you needed to make dinner. Or you’re too worn out to even contemplate a trip to the grocery store, but can’t face another night of carryout.

That’s where Amazon Prime Now comes in. The service, available in 30 cities including Indianapolis, now offers quick delivery of healthy, organic groceries from Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market. Need a carton of free-range eggs in an hour? That’ll cost you $2.99, plus a delivery fee of $7.99. But! If you can wait two hours, delivery is free. The service is available 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, in Indianapolis, Avon, Speedway, Carmel, and other nearby areas. Prime members can shop via the Prime Now app or at primenow.com to place orders and track their delivery status in real time.

As for what we’ve already been ordering from Amazon Prime Now, these are the most popular items purchased through the service in the Indy area, according to the company:

The Amazon Fire Stick, $39.99. It’s currently unavailable, but a new model debuts October 20.

Ben & Jerry’s Half-Baked Ice Cream, $3.99. For those late-night cravings.

Bananas, $1.49. Seriously? Bananas? Yes, says Amazon, Hoosiers want ’em, and we want ’em now. For 49 cents more, you can get fancy and go organic.
