» Over the weekend, craft-doughnut shop Rocket 88 (874 Virginia Ave., 317-737-2614) announced plans to open a second location in SoBro. According to its Facebook page, the shop will soon launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the build-out of the new outpost, with hopes to have it opened by the end of the year.

» Fletcher Place favorite Rook has officially closed the doors at 719 Virginia Ave. The contemporary Asian eatery will reopen in October at a new, larger location just two blocks north in the Slate building (501 Virginia Ave.). City Market stand and food truck Spice Box will open in Rook’s former space this fall.

» According to the IBJ, Cunningham Restaurant Group will renovate the historic building at 720 N. College Ave. into a dinner-only restaurant. CRG is behind the perennially popular downtown eateries Mesh (725 Massachusetts Ave., 317-955-9600) and Union 50 (620 N. East St., 317-610-0234) and recently opened a Carmel location (12901 Old Meridian St., Carmel, 317-975-0033) of its Mass Ave burger joint Bru Burger (410 Massachusetts Ave., 317-635-4278).
