When Rabbi Sandy Sasso moved from the East Coast to Indy decades ago, she worried about culture shock. Shortly after arriving, her young son ordered corned beef on white bread at a local deli, and she was horrified. "You can't be serious," she remembers saying. "You're from New York!" As Sasso details in "Leaps of Faith," there were more-serious challenges to the transition than bread. But through it all, her kids kept her grounded. Once, when the author asked her daughter what she should say at a service, the girl advised her, "Mom, haven't you said enough already?"
