A pioneer more than a decade ago with new menus every week and a host of local sources, chef/proprietor Regina Mehallick continues to stick to her guns with pristine, tastes-like-what-it's-made-of seasonal cuisine that has earned her James Beard Award nominations four years running. Lightly dressed salads, hearty soups, and chutneys begin the multi-course experience here, with plenty of duck, lamb, pork, and seafood showing up for the entrees, often with a rustic side or an international inspiration. Desserts, especially pies and tarts, are a must at this Mass Ave standard that is aging with grace.
