It is difficult to imagine a cozier retreat than this place, set in a charming log cabin built in the 1800s, with dark wood, a stone hearth, and windows overlooking the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood. The menu changes seasonally, but luckily the smoky corn soup flecked with red pepper and bacon and drizzled with oil made from herbs de Provence is available year-round. The housemade vanilla ice cream sandwiched between chewy chocolate-chip cookies also hits the spot.
