It’s a benefit like no other in the city—a chance to sample soups from some of the city’s well-known chefs and an opportunity to buy handmade ceramic bowls from local artists. Local chefs will gather to compete for a trophy and bragging rights as the Second Helpings Souper Bowl winner. Each chef will offer a soup recipe for tasting, and attendees are asked to vote on their favorite soup. The votes will be tallied and the winning chef will be announced that day. Last year's winner, Roger Hawkins of Circle City Soups, will be competing to defend his title champion. Among the list of other chefs who will be bringing soups: Chip Huckaby of Barto's Catering & Concessions; Kathy Jones of Junonia Fish Market (and Iozzo's Garden of Italy); Ryan Nelson of Late Harvest Cafe; Miguel Hardesty of Delicia; and Greg Hardesty of Recess. A fundraiser for Second Helpings. $10 includes a tasting of each of the soups and a ballot to vote on your favorite.
