Sold Out: Indy Literary Pub Crawl

The quaff-tastic mobile party is quite likely to become an annual event—all in the name of literacy.

Recent IUPUI graduate Erin Cataldi and current IUPUI student Heather Howard are bringing Indianapolis’s first Literary Pub Crawl to Mass Ave. Raffle drawings, costume contests, literary-themed drink specials, and bestselling author Dan Wakefield will all appear at Indy Reads Books this Saturday at 6 p.m. The route will then move from the bookstore down the avenue, making its way through several pubs. Tickets, priced at $10 in advance and $15 the day of the event, have actually sold out—and all proceeds go toward Indy Reads to help promote literacy in Central Indiana. Those of you lucky enough to score tickets, remember to come dressed in your best librarian or literary-character outfit! What’s more, be sure to download the Lyft app to get a safe and discounted car ride home.

If you’re among those shut out of the event due to its speedy ticket sales, do not fear. The prospect that this will be a repeat event looks quite good now:
