Tweets of the Week: Taylor Swift, the GOP Debate, and 20/20

Indianapolis was the center of the pop world with Taylor Swift in town and everyone tweeted accordingly.
Taylor’s tour rolled in Wednesday, but the tweets were streaming long before the show. Between a well-organized campaign to get her to visit Riley Hospital and the speculation of her surprise guest, Taylor talk took over the town.

Our favorite tweets this week include quips from the GOP debate, Apple updates, Colts jokes, mouth-watering ribs, and of course, Taylor Swift:

Like the one below, live tweets from the GOP debate on Wednesday night competed with some of the Taylor Swift Twitter chatter. Both brought out the pre-teen in all of us.

Set your DVRs: Indianapolis Monthly contributor Allison Copenbarger Vance‘s story on Dr. Gregory Konrath will make an appearance on 20/20 tonight.

Last Wednesday, Apple announced a bigger iPad, software updates, and a $99 pencil. The witty One America sign weighed in.

Deflategate will always live on in the Indianapolis Monthly office.

Rib day = best day.

Taylor didn’t visit Riley, but …

… sent some gear and handwritten notes …

… while Matt Overton of the Colts came to the rescue.

When asked who Taylor Swift should bring on stage, ESPN 1070’s Dan Dakich weighed in.

The surprise guest … The Band Perry. Next year, Dakich.
