Get There: The Sun King Tent

It may be six blocks east of the madness downtown, but the Local Underground tent in the Sun King Brewing parking lot has been partying all week. The ladies of Neon Love Life performed on Wednesday evening, and last night a Fort Wayne duo called Left Lane Cruiser (reminiscent of the Black Keys) played some nasty slide-guitar blues on stage. Goliathon plays tonight at 6:30.

The tent itself is swankier than we expected—leather couches, flatscreen TVs, glowing cocktail tables, and gourmet sliders and tacos from the Big Green Bistro. And of course, there's no shortage of craft beer. Sun King was pouring their Osiris pale ale, a seasonal outmeal stout, the Wee Mac Scottish ale, and a citrusy ESB from Three Floyd's called Lawless.

The $10 cover charge is a bargain, especially considering it comes with the most valuable commodity in the city right now: parking. Although as the real party starts tonight, there's no telling how long that will last.
