The Fashion Mall’s resident blogger, Bronte Tagliani, is also the wife of IndyCar driver Alex Tagliani—and she’s become notorious for a hairstyle daring enough for both the runway and the racetrack.

Who keeps your ’do upright?
Patrick Mathes is a wonderful stylist here in Indy who created my signature cut, but he is no longer doing hair full-time. Now, I see Phillip Watson at Rain Salon and Spa. No matter what stylist I use, it’s a collaboration of their skills and my vision.

What do you call it?
A faux-hawk, and kind of an undercut.

How about “the Bronte”?
Yeah, you could call it that.

What do you wear to the track?
In IndyCar, there’s a moto vibe. I like to wear jeans or leather elements and dress them up.

Bet you’ve seen some fashion don’ts.
Bikini tops are definitely a don’t. This year, crop tops are really in, so maybe high-waisted shorts or pants and a crop top is a classier version.

Tell us about being The Fashion Mall’s Style-Setter.
It allows me to show my creative side. I love working with the brands and talking about the new styles.

How do you stay fit?
At Pure Barre in Carmel. I call it my “booty burn.”
