Shoptalk: JenDaisy’s Plus Side

A new southside boutique garbs fashionistas of all sizes.
You might say JenDaisy owner Jenny Russell was ahead of the curve. A year before singer Meghan Trainor’s body-loving anthem “All About That Bass” and more than one fashion mag’s pledge to ban Photoshopped hips and tummies, Russell was already stocking her southside boho-chic boutique with clothing for women of all shapes and sizes. Her hand-selected seasonal must-haves—including extra-long cardis and dressy sweatshirts ($18)—start at sample-size-small and top out at 3X; even the sale racks contain a decent range. And the goods for curvy girls are anything but monochromatic muumuus: A knee-skimming black lace dress ($38) and a coral damask tunic ($33) are wallet-friendly and figure-flattering. “I get a lot of moms after baby and women in weight-loss transition,” Russell says. Those parents should bring pint-sized fashionistas along: While mother mulls over little-girl fringe scarves ($6), her daughter will be distracted by a prize box filled with necklaces, toy cars, and activity kits. 1279 Emerson Ave., Greenwood, 317-889-1150, jendaisy.com
