You might see a familiar face in Assembly Hall during today’s rivalry matchup with Purdue (2 p.m., ESPN): former North Central High School phenom and IU star Eric Gordon.
The NBA lottery pick and current New Orleans standout tweeted early this morning that he was “headed to Assembly Hall to watch the HOOSIERS take down Purdue. #iubb.”
Although Gordon’s single-season tenure at IU ended on a sour note (read: Kelvin Sampson), he never lost the love for his Bloomington alma mater. In fact, he’s been a reliable social-media cheerleader ever since.
