Spectators at this year’s IPL 500 Festival Parade (May 23, noon, downtown Indianapolis) can expect to see a lot of familiar faces, according to a list of celebrities and notables released this morning.
Gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin, announced last week as Grand Marshal of the Indianapolis 500, will follow the parade route, along with Oscar Robertson and other members of the history-making 1955 Crispus Attucks High School basketball team, named Grand Marshals of the 2015 proceedings.
Other names on the list include recording artists Nico & Vinz, Pacers Frank Vogel and Paul George, popular Indiana-based a capella group Straight No Chaser; current and former Colts Dwayne Allen, Pat McAfee, and Gary Brackett; Hoosier actress Florence Henderson; and racing legends Mario Andretti and Al Unser Sr.
