» According to Big Lug Canteen‘s (1435 E. 86th St., 317-555-0580) Facebook page, the brewery and full-service restaurant will open its doors on October 12. Owners Scott Ellis and Eddie Sahm shared their vision for the space with IM earlier this year.

» Nicey Treat (916 E. Westfield Blvd., 317-602-6423) will soon unveil a second location near Bluebeard and the Amelia’s Bakery space in Fletcher Place.

» The aptly named Deviate Brewing (4004 W. 96th St.) is now open, serving playful spins on classic craft beers, like Peanut Butter IPA and Hawaiian Imperial Stout flavored with coconut and coffee.

» According to the IBJ, Ash & Elm Cider Co. will open a 7,500-square-foot production facility (2112 E. Washington St.) and adjacent tasting room (2014 E. Washington St.) on the near eastside in early 2016.
