NordicExposureNever underestimate the power of a teenage hobby. Jedediah Martin fell in love with black-metal music in seventh grade and became obsessed with its country of origin: Norway.

Two decades later, he and his wife, Erica, are putting the finishing touches on their dream project, Scapegoat Bakery + Spekeri, in downtown Shelbyville. Shoppers will find meats cured by Martin alongside Scandinavian-inspired baked goods, including these kanelsnurrer (cinnamon twists) and elaborate loaves of pulla (coffee bread).
