With a new, more spacious location filled with elegant white upholstery and chandeliers, the ever-adorable Tilly’s Tea Room is bringing English tea time to the recently vacant third floor of The Fashion Mall’s Saks Fifth Avenue. The fruit scones, a favorite at the cafe run by UK native Sharon Moore, are baked fresh daily.

No ordinary American biscuit, the moist, melt-in-your-mouth treat is packed with raisins and comes with jam and traditional Devonshire clotted cream, a rich, silky spread that true tea enthusiasts know to apply in a dollop on top of the jam. “The clotted cream in the scone really is the key to it all,” Moore says. “There are not many places in Indy that serve cream that fresh.”
