Bitter Sweet’s (5543 E. Washington St., 317-602-7335) seriously put-together tuna melt, the salad creamy and rich with onions, celery, peppers, and tiny bits of egg. It’s scooped onto a split English muffin and sealed under a molten mantle of cheese.
The brownie Razzle at Mrs. Curl Ice Cream Shop (259 S. Meridian St., Greenwood, 317-882-1031), thick with chunks of chocolate and worth every minute waiting in line.
A tender, thick-cut pork chop conceals a cloud of light, fluffy mashed potatoes at Payne’s Restaurant (4925 Kaybee Dr., Gas City, 765-998-0668)—best when dunked together into the surrounding pool of mustard-cream sauce.
