The Feed: Bru Burger, Fat Dan’s, and More

This Week’s Trends in Indy Dining
» Cunningham Restaurant Group is at it again. CRG is launching an Evansville location of Bru Burger Bar (410 Massachusetts Ave., 317-635-4278; 12901 Old Meridian St., Carmel, 317-975-0033) inside a 1939 Greyhound Station, the exterior of which was restored by Indiana Landmarks. The restaurant is slated to open this fall after the interior restoration is finished.

» Get ready to resist the smell of fries and smoked brisket on your way to and from the gym if you work out at the YMCA at The Athenaeum. The new location of Fat Dan’s is in the Millikan on Mass building (575 Massachusetts Ave.) across the street, and after delaying its opening date, will likely open this week.

» According to the IBJ, the Wisconsin-based owners of Brothers Bar & Grill (910 Broad Ripple Ave., 317-252-5530) hope to launch a new location inside the historic building at 255 S. Meridian St., which used to house Roberts Camera. The restaurant has filed to make changes to the property, like building an outdoor patio, and is awaiting approval from the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission. Brothers also has Indiana locations in Bloomington, Muncie, South Bend, and West Lafayette.
