The Feed: Indiana Coffees Subscription Box, Jack’s Donuts, and More
This Week’s Trends in Indy Dining
» Thanks to new coffee-subscription box Indiana Coffees, you never have to worry about running out of your favorite local roast again. For a monthly fee, you get to choose how many bags you’d like to receive per month (two, three, or four), and Indiana Coffees will hand-select java for you from the participating roasters, including Tinker Coffee Co., Mile Square Coffee Roastery, LimeLight Coffee Roasters, Bee Coffee Roasters, and more.
» Just in case ClusterTruck’s ability to deliver a pint of Graeter’s to your door in 20 minutes wasn’t enough, the delivery service has added soft serve ice cream to its menu (with optional chocolate or caramel topping). This could be dangerous.
» New Castle–based Jack’s Donuts is expanding again. On a recent Indy Style segment, CEO Lee Marcum announced that the doughnut shop, which already operates four local outposts, will launch a location near the State House (135 W. Market St.) by the end of June, and an Avon storefront (8102 E. US Highway 36) by early August.
» According to the IBJ, Broad Ripple–based Mexican restaurant Luciana’s (1850 Broad Ripple Ave.) is launching a second outpost in the former Amazing Joe’s location at Clearwater Crossing (3716 E. 82nd St.).
» Kokomo is getting a new farm-to-table restaurant. According to Facebook, the owners of Kokomo cocktail lounge The Coterie (107 W. Sycamore St., Kokomo, 765-450-5002) will launch The Wildcat restaurant directly below the bar.
» A car drove through the front window of kitschy local bakery Heidelberg Haus Cafe (7625 E. Pendleton Pike, 317-547-1230) last Monday, apparently injuring several gnomes. Hilarity ensued on the German cafe’s Facebook after the accident.
