» The local brewing scene keeps going and growing. Round Town Brewery opened last week at 950 South White River Parkway, on the back side of the Biltwell Event Center. Visit the tap room to taste one of the six beers they’re brewing, including Irish reds (one brewed with coffee), pale ale, Belgian amber, lager, and hoppy wheat.
» Indianapolis City Market is celebrating its 130th birthday with a family party on November 4, and a MRKT Ball Benefit Gala on December 10. The family event in November is co-hosted by Yelp, with free activities for adults and kids, carnival games, and birthday cake. The gala in December is black-tie or costume attire in a World’s Fair and Victorian-era steampunk theme.
» If you like your Thanksgiving meal with more beer and less family angst, head to Black Market on November 14 for its annual Brewer’s Thanksgiving Dinner. Chef Micah Frank is cooking a four-course, Chinese-inspired menu, paired with beer selections from North Coast Brewing. Tickets are $70.
» The annual Taste of Southside event is changing dates and locations. It’s on November 13 this year (moved up from February) at the Primo Banquet and Conference Center in Indianapolis. Tickets are $40 and include food and beverage samples from 40 restaurants, caterers, bakeries, breweries, and wine distributors.
» Omaha-based Frontier Restaurant Group announced its first Indiana location of Blue Sushi Sake Grill, scheduled to open in fall of 2017 inside Ironworks at Keystone, on Indy’s north side.
» Indianapolis-based Noble Roman’s Inc. is launching its first pizzeria-pub restaurant concept in Westfield. The Indianapolis Business Journal reports that the 4,200 square-foot space will be at the Monon Marketplace (17409 Wheeler Road), and offer wine and craft beers.
