Truck Stop: Taste of Indy

Taste of Indy brought a convoy of food trucks to town over the weekend.

About 30 food vendors converged on Sunday’s Taste of Indy event at White River State Park. Arm-banded visitors traded tickets for eats from local food trucks including popsicle vendor Nicey Treat, which passed out flavors like mango-ginger and avocado, and Gigi’s, the day’s source for oversized cupcakes. Barbecue was a popular item, with Just-Tipps and Ribs Express sending up clouds of smoke from their grills, and the line for crab-cake sandwiches reached the other side of the bridge and held steady as the temperature rose into the 80s.
