Best New Food Trucks 2015

Mobile goodies worth stalking all over town.

As the weather warms, our attention turns to box trucks parked along the city streets, paper-basket gourmet, and curbside seating. Don’t let these three new food trucks pass you by.

Wylie Truck

» Wyliepalooza Ice Cream Emporium brings a touch of whimsy to the summertime tradition of running out to the curb with a handful of change. This refurbished Snap-On truck delivers bubble teas and its extra-creamy “super premium” ice cream (in flavors such as Fat Elvis and Zanzibar Chocolate) to festivals and special events like downtown’s Georgia Street clustertruck evenings. 317-537-2100, wyliepalooza.com

Mile Square Coffee Roastery

» Hot, pour-over coffee is worth the wait, especially when the chatty barista working the window at this Indy-themed truck helps pass the time by giving the spiel on this local small-batch, specialty coffee roaster. Even better, pastries are selected to pair with the daily pour’s flavor profile. 317-296-8181, milesquarecoffee.com

Brozinni Mobile Pizzeria

» Fans of this flashy food truck’s home base, a southside restaurant by the same name, got extra-excited when their favorite pizza, calzones, and garlicky “knuckles” became available from a pizzeria on wheels (look for it at downtown and southside festivals and sporting events). The custom-made vehicle includes a full stainless-steel pizza oven and kitchen. 317-865-0911, brozinni.net
