Chefs Night Off

Thunderbird’s chef de cuisine Andrew Whitmoyer and slow-food enthusiast RJ Wall (also the bar manager at Fountain Square’s Hi-Fi concert venue) co-founded this pirate prix fixe meal that has showcased some of the most highly regarded chefs in town. The lineup for February’s $100 anniversary dinner read like a roster of local top chefs, with food prepared by Adam Ditter (Bluebeard), Matt Robey (Plow & Anchor), Jonathan Brooks (Milktooth), Seth Julian (Goose the Market), Omar Guzman (Cobblestone Grille), Erin Till (Neal Brown Hospitality Group), and Peter Schmutte (Cerulean).


Thunderbird Dinner and a Movie

Once a month, the Fountain Square restaurant and bar hosts a movie paired with a corresponding multi-course prix fixe meal designed by the chef. (The same Andrew Whitmoyer mentioned above has had a busy year.) Courses are brought out at key moments throughout the film. Chef’s Collaborative Dinners at H2O Sushi

Former Plow & Anchor chef John Adams joins culinary forces with H2O Sushi’s Eli Anderson and Nicole Ankney-Anderson for these intermittent themed dinners. The first fete took on Asian cuisine (specifically the slow-cooked pork-shoulder dish bo ssam), while February’s Aphrodisiac Dinner began with an oyster tostada and ended with a goat-cheese tart. 317-254-0677,
