Eat Sheet: Milktooth, Kuma’s Corner, and More

This Week’s Trends in Indy Dining
» Milktooth (534 Virginia Ave., 317-986-5131) has racked up an impressive list of honors this year. Bon Appetit just named the Fletcher Place brunch spot No. 10 on its annual Hot 10 list of America’s Best New Restaurants, and head chef Jonathan Brooks was dubbed one of Food & Wine magazine’s 2015 Best New Chefs in June. But just so we’re clear—we loved the quirky diner first.

» A new dessert cafe is opening in the former Libertine location. Frona Mae (38 E. Washington St., 317-820-5701) will serve made-from-scratch pies, cookies, cakes, pastries, and ice cream.

» Chicago-based burger joint Kuma’s Corner (1127 Prospect St., 317-929-1287) opened its new Fountain Square location last week.

» According to the IBJ, restaurateur Scott Wise will open a Scotty’s location on Butler University’s campus called Scotty’s Dawghouse. The restaurant will anchor the new parking garage next to Clowes Hall.

» San Francisco–based grocery-delivery service Instacart is launching in Indy today. The company employs personal shoppers to hand-select and deliver groceries from customers’ favorite local retailers, including Whole Foods, Costco, Marsh, Georgetown Market, and even Petco.
