Eat Sheet: Repeal Restaurant, Flix Brewhouse, and More

This Week’s Trends in Indy Dining
» Repeal restaurant will open next month inside the former Virginia Avenue State Bank building (630 Virginia Ave.) in Fletcher Place. The menu will pay tribute to dishes served in the 1930s and 1940s, with a focus on a la carte items and craft cocktails made with distilled spirits from neighboring 12.05 Distillery.

» Food & Wine magazine Restaurant Editor Kate Krader was back in town over the weekend to run the Mini-Marathon. She sang the praises of Milktooth (again) and carb-loaded the night before the race with the sumptuous mac ‘n’ cheese dotted with King crab at St. Elmo Steak House.

» According to the IBJ, cinema-microbrewery mashup Flix Brewhouse is now open (2206 E. 116th St., Carmel, 317-824-9111). The new theater offers a full menu of entrees and a selection of craft beer and is currently showing Avengers: Age of Ultron.
