Five Things To Do While You Wait At Milktooth

Creative loafing is the best loafing.
• Order a to-go cup of the bottomless drip and one of pastry chef Zoë Taylor’s flaky creations at the front counter. Wander outside and do a Breakfast at Tiffany’s in the window of Lift massage studio (next door). It’s closed on Sunday, but maybe … someday … you’ll come back for some Pfrimmer deep muscle therapy.
• Check out one of the cool rides from the Indiana Pacers Bikeshare station across the street. The $8 charge covers any 30-minute excursions in a 24-hour period, which gives you plenty of time to explore a few blocks of the Cultural Trail into Fountain Square.
• Stop and smell the perennials (or pull a stray dandelion) at the Merrill Street Pocket Park (corner of Virginia Avenue and Merrill Street), a shady little respite courtesy of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful. It features two swamp white oaks, native shrubs, and an art installation.
• Pick up a loaf of warm-from-the-oven bread at Amelia’s (653 Virginia Ave.). We suggest the classic rustic French baguette, and not just because it looks cool tucked under your arm.
• Enjoy a pre-brunch cocktail at nearby distillery Hotel Tango (702 Virginia Ave.), which opens at noon on Sundays—with a Bloody Mary special, of course.
