The latest issue of Indianapolis Monthly discusses the best barbeque joints the Circle City has to offer (purchase the digital version here). While all the local grub is finger-licking good, you’ve got all summer to hit these hotspots. May we suggest you forgo the cornbread this weekend and add a side of rock and roll to your pulled pork sandwiches and bbq ribs this Fourth of July.
The Indianapolis Indians are hosting the Inaugural Rock and Roll BBQ at Victory field this weekend. The three day event starts today in the west parking lot of Victory Field and will showcase national barbeque vendors as well as musical acts the likes of Soul Asylum, Gin Blossoms, Loverboy, and The Charlie Daniels Band.
The BBQ offers free admission before 6 p.m. on Friday, and entry is free before 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
