The Feed: Griggsby’s Station, Open Society Public House, and More
» According to the Daily Reporter, two chef-driven spots will open in downtown Greenfield this April. Chris Baggott, owner of Tyner Pond Farm and The Mug, is opening farm-to-table eatery Griggsby’s Station (101 W. Main St., Greenfield, 317-696-0737), where recently departed Garden Table chef Ian Rossman will conceptualize the menu and serve as general manager. Baggott plans to launch an Irvington location of Griggsby’s Station (130 S. Audobon St.) this summer. Mama Roux (16 N. State St., Greenfield), a spin-off of Indy Cajun eatery Papa Roux (8950 E. 10th St., 317-603-9861), is hosting a tasting event on March 6 before its opening in April.
» South-American restaurant Open Society Public House (4850 N. College Ave., 317-999-8706) recently updated the timeframe of its SoBro grand opening to mid-April.
» Metazoa Brewing Co. (140 S. College Ave., 317-522-0251) will launch just north of Fountain Square on April 1. The brewery and tasting room plans to donate no less than 5 percent of its profits to animal and wildlife organizations.
» Contemporary Mexican restaurant Nada (11 W. Maryland St.) is opening Wednesday, serving modern takes on traditional Mexican food, like queso gringo (smoked gouda with habanero and black-bean puree), fried-avocado tacos, and a sweet-corn tamale with carnitas and a fried egg. We know where we’ll be eating dinner this week.
