Best Beer-Geek Bar
Talk about rising from the ashes. When this SoBro bar reopened in October 2012 after a 2011 fire, all of the charming woodwork and antiques were back, along with a promising new open-air patio on the second floor. What really caught our attention, however, was the beer selection—which had expanded from 32 brews to 60 on tap. A bar crowd that had thinned (and aged) noticeably since the Aristocrat opened 80 years ago now seems to be reinvigorated, even on weeknights. In the restaurant portion of the establishment, a cozy gas fireplace beckons in the wintertime. We just hope the staff is careful with it.
