EVENING SERVICE New, longer hours and a menu refresh are in the works for Chalet (5555 N. Illinois St., 317-559-3230). Changes will be launched officially on February 2.  

MEAT CUTE The folks behind the Harder Brunch podcast will host their annual Meat Cake Invitational on February 25 at Half Liter BBQ (5301 Winthrop Ave.). This competition invites chefs to showcase their meat cookery skills by making … well, a meat cake. Tickets can be purchased here.

SOUPER BOWL SHUFFLE Eight local chefs will compete in the Second Helpings Souper Bowls event on Saturday at Second Helpings (1121 Southeastern Ave.). This event supports the Second Helpings Food Rescue, Hunger Relief, and Culinary Job Training programs in central Indiana. Attendees will enjoy unlimited soup tastings and vote on their favorite to win. 

POP-UP PIZZA For everyone missing those New York style slices, Futuro (19 Cruse St., 317-360-4725) has announced a Grump’s Slice Shop pop-up on February 6.  

SWEET SCOOP Fundae’s officially opens its West Clay shop (12839 Broad St., Carmel) this Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. with “Ice Cream for Breakfast.”
