1. The Jurkiewicz sisters (Lily and Madeleine) from Indy may still be teenagers, but their folk-pop album The Weight of the Globe was rereleased by national indie label Asthmatic Kitty on June 11.
2. They’re featured on the album Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, written by John Mellencamp and Stephen King, which hit stores June 4. The legendary T-Bone Burnett produced the record.
3. The girls performed at the intimate Old National Centre venue Deluxe on June 8. Given their YouTube fame and relatively few shows, demand for seats was as high as their soaring harmonies.
