Shoptalk: Carmel City Center’s Endeavor

Glitzy chandeliers, a plank-wood accent wall, and industrial-pipe clothing racks—Endeavor fits right in with the high-end women’s boutiques at Carmel City Center. Then you start flipping over the price tags—$15 … $24 … $76—that’s right, nothing at the luxe shopping plaza’s latest store costs over $100. Along with being budget friendly, Melissa Butrum’s shop inside the Nash building is plus-size friendly. Ladies who wear XL to 3XL can sift through the same floral maxi dresses and tunic-style frocks with crochet accents as shoppers in the XS to L range. Though Endeavor is teeming with casual styles, like slouchy tanks and off-the-shoulder tops, you can also pull together a date-night look without racking up a crazy total. A voluminous A-line skirt with a polka-dot overlay puts a flirty spin on traditional cocktail attire, and a structured black kimono is an edgy upgrade from your standard blazer. Finish off your outfit with a chunky stone-pendant necklace or lightweight scarf—better yet, a laser-cut clutch to stash all the money you just saved.
