Indy 500 Nightlife: The Race Party

Celebs and VIPs celebrated the 100th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Saturday on the Regions Tower Rooftop.
Like most good parties, The Race Party on the Regions Tower Rooftop didn’t properly begin until the sun went down. With half the attendees dressed in cocktail attire and the other half in jeans and t-shirts, the vibe of the evening was more “come as you are” than anything else.

Richard Rawlings of Fast N’ Loud fame quickly got the VIP crowd excited with a few liberally poured shots of cinnamon tequila. With plenty of smiles (and shots) to go around, Rawlings set the mood and got everyone comfortable.

Lounging on the side of the deck was Shari Wilkins, Miss California 1983. Wilkins was most recently spotted singing the national anthem at a Trump rally in Anaheim, California. Next to Wilkins was Tommy Strader, founder of 360 Wraps and the man behind the design of Indy 500 driver Sage Karam’s number 24 car.

Buddy Rice, winner of the 2004 Indy 500, was seen mingling in the crowd throughout the evening as well and stopped to take photos with fans periodically.

As The Chris Weaver Band revved up for the second part of their set, Nashville star Charles chatted with people in the crowd.

Woody Harrelson’s brother, Brett, was another party-goer enjoying the live music.

R.E.M’s Mike Mills was spotted in the VIP area, as well.
