Indiana boy Jon McLaughlin’s reliable, unassuming piano pop is a perfect match for holiday songcraft. He’s in his element with a batch of five songs celebrating the season: The Christmas EP, released on Nov. 11. If you download but one of these tracks, make it “Christmas Saved Us All.” In truth, though, the entire set is delightful (and cheap, practically a stocking-stuffer).
