Baby Goes Vintage

Blow up some balloons and grab some streamers. Broad Ripple shop Lux & Ivy is having a baby! Well, it’s the boutique-equivalent of a baby.
Lux & Ivy, the local purveyor of vintage clothing that bills itself as a shop of “midwest alternative fashion and local curiosities,” unveiled a new line of children’s clothes, Oz and Evie.
In addition to a select number of sustainably sourced wholesale lines, Lux & Ivy is known for its vintage clothes and refurbished secondhand pieces—for adults. But who says your kids can’t own a few pieces of earth-friendly items, too? Oz and Evie features a selection of vintage and secondhand children’s clothing (only in the coolest styles, of course). True to their mission, Sara Baldwin, owner of Lux & Ivy, and her mom, Cindy Baldwin, handmade the bibs, burp rags, and blankets, using repurposed material from old flannel shirts, 100 percent cotton, or bamboo blends.
Oz and Evie is located adjacent to Lux & Ivy inside Vintage 54 Collective. If you missed the Carmel Cooperative Preschool Pop-Up Shop on August 27th, check out the new line at Vintage 54’s Outdoor Vintage Marketplace on September 16.
