Broad Ripple's Deitease Arrives Ready to Be Worshipped

The apparel shop also boasts accessories, shoes, and even pottery, with plus-sized beauties in mind, too.

The cozy boutique space formerly home to Redemption has another celestial tenant now in Deitease. Amber Davis’s shop became a mobile boutique, Boho Pretty, and this one opened on August 14 in the duplex-shop across Westfield Boulevard from French Pharmacie, Panda(ology), and Petite Chou. With its “dress to be worshipped” tagline, one thing the store does well is that it offers women’s styles ranging in size from XS to 3X. “We want to be a place where a 25-year-old and her mom can come in and both find something great to wear,” says Katie Pruim, manager and stylist.

Among the fashions featured in-house is Ellen & Elvin, a local label with a mobile boutique specializing in “relevant” vintage attire. Be nimble, as Deitease is hosting an open house tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. during which Ellen & Elvin styles will be on sale for 15 percent while store-wide savings on all other garments will run 10 percent off. Hair accessories from Honey Bee Mine will be 50 percent off, as refreshments are served and shoppers and staffers alike mingle and ogle various pieces. The price points are already beyond reasonable in the first place, with garments aplenty in the $30 range.

The Thread’s favorites in store and online now: the “Lovely Lisa” necklace ($18; pictured at right), which pairs perfectly with a navy dress and brown boots this autumn, and fleece-lined leggings ($13; pictured above) in blue, wine, olive, purple, teal, and even more hues.

Pottery—crafted by owner Sylvia Kang Innie‘s mother, Soyong Kang Partington—and more home goods are also on display and for sale in store. Pruim herself keeps a World of Deitease blog rolling on its site, which features an online store to boot. So get thee to Broad Ripple—and perhaps find yourself falling to your knees with thanks for blessings that come in a good many shapes and sizes.
