The One Thing You Must Buy At The Carson Pirie Scott Sale

Circle Centre’s anchor is going out of business—and discounting this hot local line.

Among the price-slashed clothes and kitchenwares at Carson Pirie Scott’s liquidation sale, one nook of local products might escape your attention. But this is the first place you should go. The store has always dedicated a section in the men’s department (first floor, base of the escalators) to Indiana-themed gifts and apparel, including the People for Urban Progress bag collection, made of the old RCA Dome roof and Super Bowl banners. The current 30-percent-off discount applies to these accessories, which are rarely found on sale. At last check, there were several styles and dozens of items still up for grabs. Keep in mind that Carson’s had marked up the PUP goods over PUP’s own prices online, and PUP is matching the store’s 30 percent off sale on these items (use the word CARSONS) to offer locals an even sweeter deal (and the opportunity to keep their dollars local). Even more reason to finally snag one of these cool PUP weekenders, purses, cosmetics cases, backpacks, or business-card holders:
