Style Spy: Jessica Hill
The local fashionista uses colors as accessories to highlight her personal style.
Name: Jessica Hill
Occupation: Front-office coordinator at Northwestern Mutual
Spotted: Monument Circle
Wearing: Top and necklace from Forever 21; harem pants from New York & Company; Michael Kors shoes from Nordstrom Rack.
The power of color: “A pop of color adds to an outfit, same as an accessory does. I don’t know why I’m drawn to bright colors. I feel like it makes you look festive.”
Dressing up for work: “I like bright colors, I have some red slacks. For right now, the harem printed pants, the floral pants, I definitely want some of those. Oftentimes I’ll wear pencil skirts or maxi dresses.”
Favorite colors: “Pink’s always been one of my favorite colors. Turquoise is another one of my favorites, and lately light purple and pastel colors.”
She likes to mix it up: “I shop everywhere. I don’t really go to specific stores. I go in every store and pick out stuff that stands out to me. I’m not really loyal to a brand. I’m on Pinterest 24 hours a day, and that’s how I get my inspiration.”
Summer must-haves: “I joined a gym, so fitness clothes have been my main focus. Bright colors and prints are definitely something I’m looking into. I also want to try to get maxi skirts, rompers, and jumpsuits. I bought a jumpsuit, and I was kind of unsure about that. But I actually incorporated it for work, too.”
