From May 20 to 22, Chicago throws Ferris Fest, a tribute to the 30th anniversary of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, set in and around the city. Highlights include a screening at the John and Nancy Hughes Theater in Lake Forest, a bus tour of filming locations, and a Q&A with the actors who played Bueller’s parents, hosted by critic Richard Roeper. The can’t-miss happening is a re-creation of the movie’s “Twist and Shout” parade scene.
