Restaurant Guide Category: breakfast-brunch

  • Profile

The breakfast-heavy, vegetarian-friendly lineup puts an emphasis on the hippie standards: tofu, black beans, and mushrooms (the thick, moist portobello burger served on a toasted bun could wean you off the grill for good). Carnivores go straight for the mound of ham and braised kale barely contained inside the D’Nai’s shiny whole-wheat baguette, the stacked ham-and-Brie sandwich, or daily specials like spicy chicken sausage and smoked Gouda wedged inside a two-handed beer biscuit. Diners don’t have to wait until the sun comes up to devour carrot-cake waffles and plates of blueberry-studded corncakes with lemon curd. The kitchen opens for business at 2 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Breakfast and lunch daily.
