NEW SLICE The Fall Creek Place neighborhood is now home to Gather 22 (22 E. 22nd St., 317-258-2222), a restaurant concept from the owners of Byrne’s Grilled Pizza. This new spot boasts a full coffee bar, as well as an herb-forward cocktail menu, shared plates, and Byrne’s well-loved pizza offerings.

NOSH & LEARN This Friday, October 27, get in the kitchen at Milktooth (534 Virginia Ave., 317-986-5131) for an intimate evening of socializing at its first Brooks Recipe Club Dinner. Watch, eat, and learn as chef Jonathan Brooks guides attendees through the preparation of a fall-flavored meal. Tickets are limited.

CULTURE CLUB Grab your tickets for Spirit and Place Festival’s November 12 live taping of the Black Girls Eating podcast with hosts Candace Boyd and Tanorria Askew. Boyd and Askew welcome acclaimed Black Jewish food writer and culinary historian Michael Twitty, author of The Cooking Gene: A Journey Through African American Culinary History in the Old South.

GHOSTLY GOODIES Join the AMP (1220 Waterway Blvd.) this Halloween for its annual Boo Bash. Vendors will be creating delicious food and handing out candy for safe trick or treating. Tickets still available.
