In 49 states, it’s just basketball. In Indiana, presidential candidates campaign with iconic basketball coaches—as on Wednesday, when Bob Knight threw his support behind GOP front-runner Donald Trump at a rally at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
“They talk in a negative way about Donald—that he isn’t presidential,” said Knight. “I don’t know what in the hell that means.”
“The greatest endorsement in the history of Indiana, folks,” said Trump. “What a winner. What a winner. Such a great man. You know, our country doesn’t win any more. That’s what we need right there—let me tell you.”
