» The Local Eatery & Pub co-owner Craig Baker is back in the kitchen at his crowd-favorite Carmel restaurant, after the departure of former chef Matt Stum.

» The downtown Ruth’s Chris Steak House (45 S. Illinois St.) will close for three weeks in September to complete a $2 million remodel by designer Loree Everette and Phanomen Design (which also crafted the interiors of local stunners Vida and Union 50).

» Bon Appetit has released its list of America’s Best New Restaurants. Spoiler alert: You’ll have to drive to Chicago to sample the nearest winners.

» Goose Island Brewing Company’s Migration Week comes to Indianapolis this week. Highlights include an overnight Goose Island Urban Camping Experience that begins Thursday at Central State Mansion (202 Steeples Blvd.) in partnership with Big Car, with bonfire-side concert, Bourbon County Stout s’mores, and lawn games. Bring a tent.
