Uber owners Heidi Woodman and Anne Branham parted ways, amicably, and opened their own stores—which means more clean, modern style for the Uber faithful. Woodman traded the flagship boutique, on College Avenue near Broad Ripple, for a brighter space across the street called Haus Love (pictured), while Branham chose the name Cloth for Uber’s Carmel store and a new Broad Ripple Village location.
At Haus Love, divided equally between decor and fashion, a blond-wood cabinet faced with glossy capiz tiles typifies the shop’s look: pure, bleached, and textural. Puffy feather pendant lamps ($750 each, and dusted with a blow dryer) are just as covetable. Long tops by Velvet and slim-cut It Denim pants, mostly in neutrals, remind one of Helmut Lang. Apparel-focused Cloth instead embraces color and trends, and the Broad Ripple store’s prices top out at $150. Lucky us.
