Boots are de rigueur for Wildflower Weekend April 16 and 17 at McCormick’s Creek State Park near Spencer. Pack a camera, too, to capture the glory of trilliums, Virginia bluebells, and other spring blooms among the century-old park’s creeks, canyons, gorges, and glens. In addition to naturalist-led hikes and lectures, there is a Saturday plant sale of native flora.
